In Westpomerania you can make good use of a kayak or a sailing boat and a fishing rod. 1649 lakes are situated in Drawskie, Myśliborskie and Wałeckie lake districts. The Myśliborskie Lake District offers 380 lakes with surface area exceeding 1 ha each, whereas the Wałeckie lake district is situated between lower stretches of the two largest tributaries of river Noteć, namely Drawa and Gwda. You do not need to convince anglers that it is worth coming here. Lakes, rivers and streams are stocked with many different species of fish. It is also a heaven for bird watching. There are many species of water and mud birds, including grebes, seagulls, common moorhens, mute and whooper swans, herons, ducks, geese, storks, cormorants, and cranes. A hiking trip along the Five Lake Valley, a part of the Połczyn Land, provides an unforgettable experience. A considerable attraction for enthusiasts of a natural landscape is the Drawieński National Park, with a navigable 40km stretch of the Drawa River, considered to be one of the most beautiful water trails in Poland. The trail named after Pope John Paul II leads through an extremely attractive and picturesque landscape. On shore, suitable camping sites are established. Large water reservoirs provide excellent conditions for tourism and water sports, including sailing, windsurfing, diving, kayaking, and fishing. For enthusiasts of water sports, several kayaking trails have been established of various degree of difficulty, including the Rurzyca River Trail – listed among the 100 most beautiful Polish tourists attractions. Kayaking fans can sail along Rega, Gwda, Parsęta, Radew and other equally interesting trails. Their most attractive features include clean water, diverse landscape, and surrounding nature. Foresters lodges situated in forests often provide a place to stay for tourists, which are very popular among hunters.
